The Shire of Toodyay wanted to rejuvenate their corporate website to showcase the area’s serene landscape and historical attractions. They also wanted to enhance their site’s functionality so that the community could easily access the Shire’s resources.
Together with the Shire of Toodyay, Market Creations created a new corporate site featuring a dynamic image rotator and high-quality imagery. Residents and visitors can stay up to date with the Shire’s latest news, upcoming events, and connect on social media through homepage quick links.

Explore the neighbourhood
The Near Me module was implemented as part of the website development project to allow residents to stay informed on what’s happening in and around the local area. The convenient mapping tool allows the Shire to display their localities using markers under customised categories.
The Shire of Toodyay uses the Near Me module to highlight their parks and recreation, events, halls, venues & facilities, in addition to council consultations, and council works and projects.

Visit Toodyay Additional Design Template
Market Creations continued to work with the Shire on an Additional Design Template for their key tourism offering – Visit Toodyay. Situated next to Toodyay’s iconic Connor’s Mill, the Visitor Centre acts as a key information source for the Shire’s visitor economy and local community.
The Visit Toodyay landing page functions as a tourism hub within the Shire of Toodyay’s corporate site, making them complimentary but each with a unqiue look and feel. The Visit Toodyay page employs bright colours against a darker palette in addition to large font and icons to enhance readability. The Visit Toodyay style guide, created by the Market Creations design team, is showcased throughout the landing page to visually reinforce the Shire’s tourism brand.
As a highly interactive site, users can engage with feeds on Visit Toodyay to easily find information on local attractions, accommodation, activities, tours, and amenities. The website also features a live Instagram feed, allowing visitors to connect with the Shire and share their own experiences in Toodyay captured through bold visuals and compelling imagery.
